Introducing the Hoy Poys
Sallie, Ryan, Zoey, Brianna, Imogen and Lacey make up the Hoy Poys - a beautiful family of six based in Kingsley, WA. In the last few years, the Hoy Poys have experienced a devastating run of bad luck with mum Sallie battling stage 4 breast cancer, and more recently daughter Zoe, 14, being diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.
Throughout this heart breaking experience the Hoy Poy family has never asked for help, and never changed their positive attitude and approach to life. They’ve remained a strong part of the Kingsley area, spending their weekends contributing to community projects, and playing for local softball and netball clubs.
To help the Hoy Poys during their difficult time, friends and family appealed to Matt and Kim - Channel 9 to choose the Hoy Poys as one of their families in need. Matt and Kim rose to the challenge, and completed the home renovation of a lifetime, transforming their original 1970s home into a modern, sleek residence.

Infinite Energy were humbled to be able to contribute a 2.5kW Solar PV System to the project, to help the Hoy Poys significantly reduce their future electricity bills. The system was made up of nine 270W mono-crystaline panels and a 2.5kW Fronius Galvo inverter.
At 2.5kW in size, the solar system averages an output of around 10-11 units of electricity per day, which will not only significantly reduce the Hoy Poy’s electricity bills in the immediate term, but also protect the family from rising energy costs in the long term.
It’s the third Solar PV System we’ve donated to Matt and Kim to the Rescue, and we couldn’t imagine a more deserving family.
