Synergy’s Solar REBS payments now automated

Written by Infinite Energy

For customers in the South West of Western Australia, Synergy's Solar Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS) or REBS pyament is a product which is offered to eligible customers with Solar installed and offers a buy back rate for unused solar energy that customers export into the grid.

In a long overdue move, Synergy have automated REBS payments, and have streamlined the way you can receive your REBS payments.

To make receiving REBS payments easier, they have introduced an optional, automated system that will deposit REBS payments directly into your nominated bank account so you can receive your REBS payment in a timely and hassle free manner without the need to make individual claims via telephone as was the case previously. As part of this new service, the minimum refund amount has been reduced from $100 to $75 for those who opt in.

How it works

Synergy will check for any credits on your account on the first business day of every month, and if you meet the eligibility criteria, your automated REBS payment will be processed the next business day.

How to opt-in to Synergy's Automated REBS payments

To take advantage of this new service, you’ll need to be registered for Synergy's Paperless Billing and pay using Direct Debt.

If you have already registered for My Account and have opted into Paperless billing, all you need to do is set up Direct Debit and opt in to the Automated REBS Payments.

To register visit www.synergy.net.au/myaccount  and make receiving your REBS payments easier for you, today.
