Case Study: SunPower and SolarEdge Residential Installation

Our customers, Erin and Scott, recently installed an 8.88kW SunPower and SolarEdge solar power system at their three-phase Victoria Park home in Western Australia.

Erin and Scott’s main reason for investing in a solar power system were the money-saving benefits it offered their family.

“The ability to save a fair bit of money on your monthly bills was a big reason for us to install solar,”

“We thought that while you have to invest a bit of money into the solar panels initially, we are planning to be in this house quite a long time and so we thought it was a really good idea to make that investment,” said Erin and Scott.

Erin and Scott started out by completing thorough research into the types of solar energy systems available, and who was going to be the best solar company in Perth to install with. They were particularly wary of companies who put the “hard sell” on them, as they had been solicited by several solar companies previously and found that experience quite uncomfortable.

“Scott did a fair bit of research on the internet, and we talked to a lot of friends and family who have got solar power. The biggest things for us were talking to a company who had a good reputation within WA, had a good understanding of the products and how long they last, and who could easily explain it all to us.”

“Infinite Energy’s name just kept popping up and people were just saying that they explained the products, there was no pushing, there was follow-up if you need it, and the people who you were talking to from the company really understood what they were talking about,” said Erin.

Infinite Energy consultant Chris worked with Erin and Scott to help them find the best solar solution to match their unique needs.

“We found the sales process with our energy consultant Chris really easy, we both work so the fact that Chris could come and visit us at our home after hours made things really effortless for us,”

“He went through all of our current energy needs with us and helped us to consider our energy needs in the future, especially as we are looking to install a pool in the future.” Erin and Scott said.

For this Victoria Park family, choosing SunPower solar panels and a SolarEdge inverter to complete their 8.88kW solar energy system was an easy choice.

“From an aesthetics point of view, the SunPower solar panels look really good because they are the black panels and we had a look at a few different types of solar inverters and talked to our energy consultant Chris about which one would best suit us,”

“We haven’t gone for a solar battery at this stage, but with our system, there is the opportunity for us to plug in a battery later on if we need to.” Erin and Scott said.

Erin and Scott’s solar power system is estimated to produce 12,367 kWh annually, which is the C02 equivalent of saving 36 trees from deforestation each year! It is also estimated to save them between $2,000 - $2,500 off of their yearly power bills.

“We would absolutely recommend Infinite Energy, in fact, we have already spoken to a few other people who are talking about getting some solar power quotes and have already recommended Infinite Energy to them”, said Erin and Scott.
