McMahon Bros Farm | Commercial Solar Case Study | Infinite Energy

McMahon Bros Farm (67kW)

McMahon Bros Farm (67kW)

McMahon Bros is a third-generation family run business that grows a range of Certified Organic fruit and vegies, including stone fruit, apples, pears, snow peas and broccoli. As organic growers, they must adhere to strict rules and regulations to ensure the quality of their produce including no use of chemicals or nasty pesticides.

At peak time in February, the McMahon family employs about 40 people to help supply their produce to wholesalers in cities, including Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and markets in northern NSW.

Motivated by their commitment to providing environmentally friendly produce, McMahon Bros decided to explore renewable energy solutions and after a period of diligent research, selected Infinite Energy to deliver these.

Infinite Energy recommended and designed three systems totalling 67.02kW, which includes a SunPower and Fronius ground mount system, to help reduce the electricity costs associated with running their cold rooms and irrigation systems.
The systems were installed at the beginning of 2018 and will generate 108,907kWh of clean energy each year and reduce McMahon Bros annual CO2 emissions by 85 tonnes.
