The Royal Automobile Club of WA is an essential part of WA Life, having over 750,000 members. They provide the community with insurance, travel services, security and financial services as well as their roadside assistance service and representation for motorists.
Having a strong interest in sustainability and the environment, RAC WA undertook an extensive analysis of their energy consumption at their landmark head office in West Perth and were already monitoring their energy consumption using the Greensense View service prior to the installation of their solar PV system. The solar installation followed the implementation of a number of other energy efficiency programs.
The RAC are very risk averse and took their time in selecting a company to install this important component, first seeking advice from Wood & Grieve Engineers as to the suitability of their building for solar. After extensive research Infinite Energy were selected as the chosen solar supplier.
The 100kW installation offsets a significant proportion of the site’s electricity consumption and reduces associated emissions.
