Hotel Rottnest(64kW)

Visited by thousands of tourists each year, Hotel Rottnest is a popular bar, restaurant and hotel on WA’s Rottnest Island. The hotel’s history dates back to 1864 where the original building served as a summer residence for the Governors of Western Australia.

Electricity costs are a significant portion of Hotel Rottnest’s operating expenses due the very high electricity prices on the Island. In order to try and reduce these costs Hotel Rottnest made the decision to install a 64kW solar PV system designed and installed by Infinite Energy.

The solar PV system was installed in December 2015 and supplies around 20% of the hotel’s electricity usage.
