Awards Trophies | Commercial Solar Case Study | Infinite Energy

Awards & Trophies (40kW)

Awards & Trophies (40kW)

Established in 1992, Awards and Trophies has grown from a business working out of one car garage in Brisbane into Australia’s largest trophy retailer.

In July 2007 the business was relaunched as the industry’s first fully ecommerce website. With a showroom, production rooms, and warehouse all based at their Milton site, Awards and Trophies sought a way to lower their energy bills in order to keep their business competitive.

After diligent research, Infinite Energy were selected as Awards and Trophies preferred solar provider due to our unparalleled experience in the Australian commercial solar market. We designed and installed a 40kW SunPower and Fronius solar PV system which will not only reduce Awards and Trophies’ annual electricity spend by over $12,000, but also reduce their yearly CO2 emissions by 50 tonnes.

Awards and Trophies have sent us a comparison of their energy bills since installing solar, and have seen their electricity bill drop from $59 a day to $20 a day in just 12 months - a reduction of 58%!

"I would definitely recommend Infinite Energy to others, in fact I have several times already. Infinite Energy installed a 40kw commercial solar array on our rooftop in Milton, Brisbane, about 200 metres from Suncorp Stadium. The installation and commissioning was seamless and on budget despite several complexities; the installation quality was better than what I’d expect of most trades. From my first enquiry through to the completion of the project I’ve found Infinite Energy to be completely professional and very easy to deal with. Now that we’re covering most of our energy requirements as well as feeding into the grid, we can finally see how worthwhile it has been to invest in solar. With Infinite Energy’s help we structured the financing in such a way that the total cost of finance + remaining energy costs was roughly equivalent to our pre-solar energy bill, in effect not adding any additional costs to the business over the finance period. The system should pay for itself in approximately 5 years and after that we’ll be saving about $15K per annum. A very worthwhile investment for any business with high energy needs and a sunny spot on the roof."
