Reptile & Grow Store (18kW)

Reptile & Grow Store (18kW)

Located in Rockingham, the Reptile & Grow Store (Reptile Trader) is run by Ken Thompson, a passionate reptile enthusiast and licensed dealer, taker and re-locator. The store sells reptiles, food, lighting, heating, substrates, enclosures, books and more.

Ken’s operation relies on electricity for the wellbeing of his reptiles as well as the running of his store. With the ever increasing costs he was looking to reduce his energy spend. Already having a solar system at home Ken is aware of the benefits and savings provided by solar, he enlisted Infinite Energy to design and construct a solar system for his business that would cover the majority of his daytime power needs.

Infinite Energy also installed an energy meter and monitoring screen for Ken to monitor the savings provided by his solar system and for display to his customers. Since installation the solar system is performing above estimate and is supplying on average 76% of the electricity at the store. Ken’s store will now enjoy the substantial savings as well as doing their bit to reduce their carbon footprint.
