Verdant Apartments (20kW)

Verdant Apartments (20kW)

The 21-storey apartment building located just minutes from Northbridge and the Perth CBD, is a luxurious development featuring 137 one and two-bedroom apartments. The building has a rooftop terrace with a private bar, dining space, yoga deck, pool, gym, sauna and its very own open-air cinema.

With a strong emphasis on energy efficiency, the building is equipped with several features such as low energy light fittings, low flow water fittings, electric car charges, and of course, a solar PV system designed and installed by Infinite Energy .

To finance their system, Verdant chose to use a Solar Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA). This means they didn't have to produce any upfront capital, and only pay for the electricity they use generated by the system, which is at a lower rate than what they'd purchase from the grid.

The 20kW system uses premium SunPower panels and a SolarEdge inverter. An estimated 32,945kWh of clean energy will be produced each year, as well as eliminating 26 tonnes of harmful CO2 from being produced, the equivalent of 96 trees. The system will help reduce electricity costs for tenants and reduce overall strata costs.
